Importing MOD files

Page history last edited by Sam Oleson 12 years, 3 months ago

When using a Canon FS11 camera rented from the Journalism Reading Room, we are having trouble importing the files onto the computer. They are importing as .MOD files and we need them to be in .MOV files. How do we convert the files into .MOV and is there any other things we should be doing when importing files?

Although I don't have any .mod files to test, a free program for mac called iSquint should be able to convert them to highly-compatible formats.

Let us know if this works.

It appears to have worked fine. I'll let you know if we run across any problems with the files.

How do you resize an imovie to get the play button to show up?
