I typed captions, but they're not showing up when I test the slide show. Help!

do you see a button for "show captions"?

Nevermind, I fixed it myself. If anyone else wants to know how to add captions, you just add them under template and they show up automatically.

Yep, got it. Thanks :)

I'm still having trouble getting my captions showing up, even when I mark the "show captions" option. I'm not sure what to do..

did you type captions on each slide at the tab marked "slide info" and the sub-tab "captions"?

How do you italicize words in the captions? ( I have the demo PC version...)

You can't do ital in any version, but that's ok b/c it's hard to read on the Web anyway.

I'm having the same problem with the captions- I have the show captions box marked and I wrote in my captions under slide info- caption- but they don't show up when I play the slideshow...

I think I have it. Are they just not showing up in SoundSlides itself? Try exporting and testing in a browser.

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but how do I export it and test it in a browser?
When I hit export it brings up a lot of files

Don't hit export. Just hit test and I think it should work.

do we have to have captions ?

Kathleen Culver said

Depends on the nature of your slideshow. Some images are self-evident without captions. But the vast majority will have captions.

Whenever I attempt to add a lower thirds attribution, it overlaps the photo credit that I put in the caption space. Is there a way to change the location on the screen of either of these?

I'm guessing it's b/c people don't often use both captions and lower thirds. But you can easily ask them a question at http://support.soundslides.com/
