Uploading a slider on static homepage

Page history last edited by Meghan Krueger 11 years, 4 months ago

We want to have the home page of our website be static, but we also still want the slider to be on the home page. We are working in the Linedy theme. When we change the home page to static right now, it deletes the slider. Is it possible for the slider to remain on the home page if it is a static page? Thanks.

Have you googled for support on the Linedy theme?

Do some Googling to see if there is a setting you can adjust to make this happen. I've not seen info on this particular theme, but for other themes there is often a line of code that needs to be added to the php of the static home page. This code can usually be copied from the post page. If this is the case, ask Katy if you are able to get this done for you, as you do not have access to edit the php code.

I have been searching ways to fix the problem but nothing has worked. I can't find anything specific to the Linedy theme.

We found out a way to show the slider on the home page without the date of the post showing. You have to go to appearance-->Linedy theme options-->featured posts and then uncheck "homepage" and check "pages"
